HRC Managed Races

Since the formation of the Club in 2013, the founders had long dreamed of bringing a longer distance race to Hillsborough. In 2016, the Club began planning to host it's first road race. With the support of the Town, County, Town of Hillsborough Police Department, OC Sheriffs Office, Emergency Services, and Fire Department, the Historic Hillsborough Half Marathon and 5K became a reality on October 2nd, 2016.

Following the success of that race, we have added several more annual events to our calendar:

HRC Turkey Trot, Thanksgiving Morning, Downtown Hillsborough
Running of the Elves, 1 mile race ahead of the Holiday Parade in December
Occoneechee Mountain Challenge, January, 10 mile race including trail running around Occoneechee Mountain
